Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen Review

New browning a5 sweet 16 problems

It is slightly muzzle light unloaded, which is ideal for a repeater. This gun is designed to work, come hell or high water. A nice feature we enjoyed during field trials was the turn-key magazine plug, which is easily removed with a vehicle key or other pocket tool. It was in the mid 20's with a constant 15-20 mph wind. Unloaded, with the safety off, you can balance the entire gun on your forefinger and no click is forthcoming.

I'm assuming the mechanics of this gun are at least similar? I was under the impression that the only thing a-5 about the gun was the shape and the name. My gunsmith guy said that maybe the oil in the spring area had a hydraulic effect on the recoil and slowed it down. The Auto 5 and it's Sweet interation have a bit of a cult-ish following, John Browning at work. I think maybe the gun should be banned. It is ridiculous, so a center bead extraction is in order. I know others have had these problems , what was the cure? I took it out shooting today and shot 125 shells with out any flaws. I'm wondering if any of you have had any experience with this gun and what your thoughts are. As posted above if you flip the gun over and look on the bottom of the receiver along the edges where the loading port is you will see some half moon cut outs. I asked them to send me 2 just in case it happens again and they agreed so that's nice. The second time around I put 5-6 drops along the length of the rail.
